Lifestyle Romance // Peace River, AB Photography

Every so often, I get asked to photograph a couple in love. The are not having a sweet wedding that they need photos for, they are not getting engaged, they just wanted some photographs of them having been together for a while. And as you can probably tell, they are so in love, and happy to be together. This is what I call Lifestyle Photography, because it isn’t for any other reason than they want to remember life and be able to tell their kids someday their story. And what better way to tell a story than through “a photograph that tells a thousand words!”

My lovely couple have been happily married now for several years, they are working at building their home and careers, and can very well beat mee any day at any sport you can possibly think of. Yes they are good. Real good. Very Athletic, and we will move on before I start to remember how many times I tried to do push ups compared to their “rocking hard abs” sit up goodness. Yes let’s move on.

They are some of the kindest people you will ever meet, in fact just sitting here makes mee want to go out for coffee with them and glean from them. To know them is to know what sweet honey is like.

Just look at the photos below. They have personality. They have humour and most of all, they have each other! Enjoy the show below!

The Sweet Day Slideshow

I had the honour of photographing one of my very favorite families in the whole wide world.
We had so much fun, I and love how close they all are together. If you go visit them, this is how you will find them, with the best family connections, laughing and probably close by, enjoying each other’s company very much.
Welcome to The Sweet Day

Beautifully Sweet Family photo session taken by melissa e earle of mee photos

The day was cool, not too hot yet, the smell in the air was of sweet blossoms. It was a beautiful day, and not just because of the weather, but because of the family I was honoured to photograph! Instead of saying, “you and you sit here and look!” I just watched them having fun and photographed them interacting with each other. This is what is known as Lifestyle Photography. Families just being themselves and having a fine time at it.

I loved this family, how they interacted, they truly are a sweet family. You can see in these photos their amazing connections just shinning through, even with kids at a young age, they all were so much fun to be around, because they love each other and love being around each other!
Their whole family is very much outdoors all the time, so we couldn’t help but not be out and about. They even took mee to a clearing where there usually is alot of deer and we set up a blanket and read to each other. It was pretty much a fantastic day.

Hope you guys have a great day and can’t wait till the air smells like blossoms again to be able to photograph more sweet things!

Sibling Connection Family Portraits Mee Photos

Two amazing teenagers, a great brother and sister duo. I don’t often get the privilege to get to know youth who are smart, work hard in school, work hard in their local community and who are both in the same family!
One of my favourite things about both of them is that they are so easy to have fun with. We laughed probably the whole time I was there and since their smiles just lit up their faces, it was totally perfect.
We sat around their patio furniture, talked, joked laughed, jumped on the trampoline, climbed under the back deck (loved the lighting back there!) found a boat and laid around. It was truly a perfect afternoon. Their mom made us Lemonade (while I tried to convince her that she should let me take photos of her with her kids too.) complete with raspberries and blueberries, good enough it makes my mouth water right now just thinking about it!

I had a fantastic time photographing these siblings for their mom who wanted photos of them taken. I think that having a session with your kids any time is a great idea to remember your kid’s stages and it can’t really hurt to have photos of them to show to all your friends either, eh?

Thanks for the great session and talk with you guys soon!
PS did I mention yet that they save and rescue hurt animals? One of their last “pets” that was on the mend was a black crow who had a broken wing as a baby that they nurtured back to health and then released back in the wild. I got to meet the crow a couple of times and loved how the family selflessly took care of the baby. Such a cool thing to see!

Back to School

I can’t believe that it is already here this year again! That means for us that summer goodness is over until next year and I relished every second with my kids that I could since I knew we could never get it back again. And alas, I am kinda glad for routine this year and since kindergarten is stagred I don’t have to say good-bye to my baby until next week.

P.S I had no idea his shirt was so big, it looked great on and then when I saw the pictures I thought, “Oh no! First day of school and a large shirt? What kinda mom am I?” I am glad that there are a couple more days of school left still to work out such details! This shirt is going to get put away in the “wait for a rainy day pile.”
Oh and here is a random video I do every once in a while “A day in the life with Real Mee” about Back to school

Peak/Preview

Happy Summer, the days are beautiful, the sun is nice with hot rays and the children’s laughter can be heard in abundance, it truly is a good time to make some summer memories!

On that note, I have just a peak of a friend of mine, can’t wait to post more!

I can hear the quite of the all the houses on the street shutting down for the evening, the adult hush tones speaking quietly in the background and off in the distance I can hear the notes of a skilled harmonica player blowing the summer sweet tunes. Have a great evening and hope your summer is as beautiful as you can imagine.
