I get asked all the time, “How did you start in photography?” It seems like it is the first formality question that people always feel they need to ask. It’s almost like asking, “How are you doing?” Usually I just nod and say, “oh yeah I am doing good, thank you and yourself?” But what if you really want to know how someone is doing, like really genuinely want to know? Well usually friends like to know how you are really doing, friends are the ones that ask and stay to find out.
Since you are here and asking, I would love to consider you a friend and answer the, “How did you get into photography” question. Usually friends will ask mee this question again later after they find out that I am a mom of two kids, a traveler, went to school for interior design and have dabbled in graphic design, writing, journaling, painting, drawing, singing, piano, pottery, poetry, song writing, was apart of a dance team, and wonder how I got into photography and still do it.
I always say something like, “Yes I do all of those things, but they are the way I enjoy life, another way I get inspiration that I put towards photography, because after I do all those things, I keep coming back to photography.” That would be something like I would say.
