Welcome to Mee Blog!
Hello and Welcome to the blog of Mee Photos! Thanks for stopping by!
I am Melissa E Earle, backed up by my fantastic husband and two fun loving children. ;) We also just added an amazing "rescue" dog to our family and love him to bits and pieces.About Mee: I am happily imperfectly perfect, and I love life the same way, thankful for all the details and try my hardest to learn the life lessons that come a calling.
My love languages are, gifts and quality time and I recently just learned that we all love a different way, so I am trying to learn how my friends and family "speak love" it has been an amazing lesson/journey so far.I have been described as, "So unpredictable that I am predictable"
What I do: I am a natural lifestyle photographer, I heart taking pictures of people, moments and details
But I also: am a mom, and figuring out how to multi-task (I thought I was a very organized person until my kids became school aged!) Yet I also have a hand in a bunch of things. I am a "creative art soul" and love all things from the heart and know the value of inspiration.
I fiddle with:
๑ Music, I do a mean chopstick level piano, write music and I sing. My favorite is worship, well I mean real true worship, something that I am finding doesn't exist very many places. It is in those moments that I find that value and depth and hope of life. I think my voice has a folk sound and always wished I had a african american voice because they can sing like no one else. I also think that if I was a smoker I would gain a really cool raspy sound, but since I don't, I am left with trying not to sound nasel-ish. lol
๑ Interior Design and Decor, I did go to school for it, and love it, and have a goal to find a place for it with my husband's Contracting business.
๑ Graphic Design, I dibble dabble and have been working with photoshop/adobe since about 2000, I LOVE all things design.
๑ Web Site Design, for some reason I have turned half geek, studying everything I can get my hands on about the www and think coding is the best thing since sliced bread. What we do alot of:
๑ Whatever will bring us closer together. Have come to think of family as one of life's greatest treasures, as long as we make it so.
๑ Hike ALOT. We try to find the great trails and walk, hike, and I find it thrilling, which is a new opinion for this city gal.
๑ Dance in our living room like the world was ending.
๑ We are coffee connoisseurs, we drink coffee. We love buying green coffee beans, roasting them and brewing fresh coffee. My parents recently went to hawaii, toured coffee farms and bought green coffee beans from organic growers, yeah it is a 'real hobby' and yeah, it runs through the family
๑ Bonfires, yum! a new thing for mee, since again I didn't grow up having them.
๑ Talking, and hanging out. We have this huge thing for "relationships" and trying to do everything we can to be a real friend.
๑ I can't cook for the life of the chief my-husband-really-should-be, but I love baking although my love handle hips would be alot happier if I didn't love to bake so much, due to the sweet tooth I was passed down from my father.
๑ (did i mention yet that i love to shop? oh boy, I better leave this one blank)
๑ And most of all I luv, love taking photos. One of the best things in the world. The best.Where I am: I am currently based out of Alberta Canada, situated amongst beautiful green rolling hills at the east-northern point of the Rocky Mountains. Jasper, Alberta is about 6 hours due south, and 15 min of where I live is the "Mile 0" the start of the MacKenzie Hwy that takes you to the Northwest territories. If you were driving to Alaska, you could take a route that would bring you right through here, but it is still 23-27 hour drive north-west. I have also heard this area to be called, "a walker's paradise" and I am so glad I get to do it, especially since we have "white nights." White Nights are several months of the year that stay light out till Midnight, with the sun rising at 4 the next morning.
Also, we are so far north that we have GORGEOUS northern lights, primarily in the fall and spring. And for some reason if you photograph outside there is a thick blue tint on the photos here that I never got when I lived in Florida. We have tons of deer around here and moose and have to be very careful driving, especially in the fall. This blog: serves as my own online journal for all my professional work, personal images, family lives, travels and basically, what I see through my photographic view of life.
